How GoMail™ fits in the mail delivery cycle

GoMail™ setup and operation is easy and efficient. A store clerk creates a GoMail™ account for the customer and assigns it a unique address sensor. The sensor corresponds to the customer’s in-store Mailbox number.

Once the daily in-store mail is sorted and mail is delivered to the customer’s mailbox, the clerk simply presses the wireless mailbox Notification Sensor as illustrated in Figure 1. Within 15 minutes, the subscriber is notified of the mail delivery by their pre-selected service delivery option (e.g. e-mail, text message, pager or phone).

System Overview

The GoMail™ system employs employs 3 durable and economical components as its pipeline for operation:

  1. Go-Mail Communicator™
  2. Go-Mail Messenger™
  3. Go-Mail Manager™

Go-Mail Communicator™

The GoMail™ Communicator is an easy-to-use and reliable means of bridging snail mail and e-mail. Housed at the subscriber’s place of business, it relays messages of customer mail delivery directly to the GoMail Messenger at the press of a button. All it requires for operation is a shared phone line. A typical transaction between Communicator and Messenger takes less than 60 seconds. Built-in battery back up and remote accessibility ensure complete reliability. All maintenance and trouble-shooting is inclusive to GoMail subscription service costs.

Go-Mail Messenger™

The GoMail™ Messenger serves as the go-between for the GoMail™ Communicator and GoMail™ Manager. It receives delivery information from the Communicator and accesses the customer database housed in the Manager at Amia Solutions. As figure 4 illustrates, once the information is matched with the appropriate customer, the Messenger sends word via the customer’s preferred method of notification.

Go-Mail Manager™

The GoMail Manager oversees the entire GoMail™ service package. It allows subscribers to administer all aspects of customer accounts by way of a user-friendly web browser. The Manager also receives and allows for rapid response to any problems with the system as a whole, whether they be hardware or software related. Software updates and system upkeep is accomplished through the Manager.
